Man Konon Desert Punk is not for kids at all.
As it is Seinen Manga Anime.

Ah I never heard Desert Punk before... or maybe if i knew the japanese title for it, i'll recognize XD

My fave animes.. hmm so many, and these names are the titles on top of my head that i've been watching more than 2x :
(some of the titles might be old ones since i don't really download and watch many animes lately)

- Natsume Yuujinchou (both seasons, hoping for third season D:)
- Nodame Cantabile (both seasons)
- Fullmetal Alchemist (still watching FMA: Brotherhood)
- xxxHolic (all of them..including both seasons, ova and movie XDD)
- Fruit Basket (this was the anime that i watched the most ..more than 5x hahahhaha)
- Detective Conan (my guilty pleasure XD, not really watching all episodes since it got more than 500 eps, but i watched almost all of its movies and some ovas)
- Hetalia Axis Power (still ongoing)
- Ouran Host Club (where's the second season ;__;)
- Hanada Shonen Shi
- Spirited Away
- Howl's Moving Castle

and I learn about manga from miip always haha
so she is expert on that block.
but recently I did not get time to watch anime since 1 month+ 
but its fine as I can download and now watch it on tv using Nintendo Wii

LoL, no way i could take over you on anime.
Now i only follow Hetalia and FMA: Brotherhood with occasionally some episodes of Detective Conan.
As you already know, i prefer reading manga/manhwa/manhua rather watching anime lately ^^.
(manhwa is Korean version of manga, manhua is Chinese version of manga)

I kinda tempted to download Kimi ni Todoke since i really like the manga version (this is one of those Slice-of-life genre, anand ), and Himitsu: The Revelation since i've read the manga and it's very intriguing (about mystery and psychology).
But not sure if i got time to watch them, maybe download now and watch them later XD.

I will watch FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood soon too when I will find it. 
its one of my all time favorite animes.

i think i can read manga in book printed form , specially if I am traveling on
a train and somebody give me that for reading then I would totally finish
it in 1 hour+

hehe yes always great to also check anime even if they change a bit
of manga storyline always to fit in somethings for the audience.
