Computer Maintenance Tips By Anand.

Hello to everyone 

I thought about making a small to advanced guide on your Computer and OS Maintenance in Basic steps.
So that your computers stay healthy and run faster always.


Okay first step is to use some tools in not so stable Windows OS (xp home/pro-vista etc)

1.Disk Cleanup.
Go to My Computer
right click mouse button on C Drive > Properties > Disk Cleanup.
(Follow these things for every drive partition you may have*)

A option will open up after calculations/scanning.
Tick Mark:
Downloaded Progam Files.
Temporary Internet Files.(Very important)
Recycle Bin.
Temporary Files. (Very important)
Webclient/Publisher Temporary Files.

Press Ok > Yes
when done press Ok again in Disk Properties.
Do same procedure for all your HDD partition Drives and reboot your computer.

2.Defragmentation
Okay now coming to one of very most important thing to make a Windows OS work faster.
Its called Disck Defragmentation.

This will make your drive work faster and even software's and computer starting will become faster.
Before we do this I will explain what it does in short.
What happens in frequently using a Windows OS system is that we moove/install/delete a lot of files
so what happens is that a clutter of unallocated or unnecessary gaps/spaces appear on the HDD drive.
This causes it to function a bit slower so that is why each weekend of month end we must all perform a
Defagmentation of our Drives so that the system works faster etc.

Warning before doing this:
1.Computer should not shut down or restarted while the work is being done.
I suggest buying a normal UPS battery backup for your computer always with 15 minutes standby time.

Okay lets now make your computer work faster 

2 ways to do this.

1. press start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmentor.

2.Go to My Computer
right click mouse button on C Drive > Properties > Tools > Defragment Now.
(Follow these things for every drive partition you may have*)

Then the Disk Defragmentor will open(for xp) with showing the Drive Volumes etc(C,D etc).
Press Analyze.
It will scan and show some results and tell if yes or No but if too much Red Color or White Color
in Between The Blue Color then better Press Deframent even if it says not necessary.

After you do that then the process will start and when its done reboot you pc   
and then you may do same thing for every additional drives you may have.

I try to say it in as simple english as possible.

  by the way if you people can spend some money or if you are too lazy to follow the normal ways then you may as well buy:

1.System Mechanic by ilolo technologies.

Very easy to check pc issues and and can recommend if you want to fix them in an instant or not.
Good in fixing registry problems caused by trojen viruses etc.

I use version 6 pro sometimes because i have original key(as gift) for it from yew years now ^^
but I do follow the normal ways of cleaning and repairs by my self  always hehe
