Based on kTO news:

From Zdnet's basic conference report, EP5 and Awakening system will be released earliest on July 22 2009.

Awakening system are only available for anyone who has achieved 3rd job. It will be consist of 3 parts.

Part1 = Secret card system. Remember the story of TO consist of finding these ultra rare cards? Well this part will allow you to differentiate the secret cards you obtain from hunting differ from the regular ones.

Part2 = Guardian system. From creating your soul guardian to summoning it to assist you in battle. It is not a pet and will fight on your behalf.

Part3 = Monster classification system, with the new ability to see special monsters, you will be able to fight and differentiate the regular ones from these special ones.

They also mentioned that those whose hoping for character enhancement beyond current 3rd job are in the development stage.

Found some user report while waiting for the official one <_<

・Awakening system = lvl 180/ tm not determined yet
・To use Awakening system, a new skill called "trickster" will be added.
・To use Awakening system, a soul seed will be obtained. The soul guardian will be summoned using this soul seed.
・The Soul guardian can be used regardless of type and class.
・After awakening, shadow monsters can be seen
　(These monsters will drop items that are only obtained by defeating them)
・Soul Guardian's ability will adjust with the user's level.

・For the new card system - there will be new card game, once cleared, you get herb pots, and related items.
　You might also get TM as award.

・Suprise system
　While drilling randomly you might be able to go to black markets.
　You can collect these treasure maps that shows hidden treasure for limited time.
　→By drilling at the designated location indicated by the treasure map, you get galder coupons.
